Health Projects
Nordstern is a serious and responsible partner who has carried out several types of projects for the Danish healthcare system, from research sections, patient hotels, and psychiatry to car parks, where way finding is in focus to guide relatives and people who need treatment.
Our approach is dialogue-based, so that the client and the users achieve a good project that lives up to the visions for functionality, quality, and design.
In addition to creating the most optimal physical framework that supports a structured course of treatment, as at AUH Psychiatry in Skejby, we also work on sustainability in the projects. The environmental, social, and economic aspects play a major role from design to execution and in the subsequent operational phase.
We are also behind projects such as Buddinge Byport in Gladsaxe, which is a health and employment centre with the following health facilities: rehabilitation, prevention centre, general medical practice, and pharmacy.
Nordstern has also been responsible for the construction of the SoSu School in Horsens, which trains staff for elderly care and healthcare.
Projects with Complex Installations
Through repeated hospital projects, Nordstern has built up expertise in carrying out laboratories and research units with complex installations.
We have the expertise to build several purity classes and can meet the healthcare system's strict requirements for cleanliness, not least in laboratories. Examples include Gødstrup Hospital, where Nordstern has built a radiochemistry section, and Forum in Skejby, which is part of Aarhus University Hospital. The 14-storey building houses a patient hotel, traditional and experimental research units, blood sampling, a section for Functional Disorders and a church.
