The project includes a total of 15,500 sq m of renovation and new construction, including 4,000 sq m underground car parks
Buddinge Byport houses a health and employment centre, including rehabilitation, preventive care, general medical practice, a pharmacy, and the municipality’s employment services.
The project includes a total of 15,500 sq m of renovation and new construction, including 4,000 sq m underground car parks. The health and employment centre will be located in the former Gladsaxe police station, for which a new building will be constructed. The existing and new buildings are connected by a central atrium.
The building will be constructed in varying heights from two to six stories. The offsets create variety and a different architectural expression. The top of the building will feature a roof terrace with facilities for exercise.
A shared courtyard environment is envisaged as a social hub for visitors, who can also dine at the outward-facing café on the ground floor.
As part of the area, a park and rehabilitation area will be created at ground level with a rainwater collection basin.
The project also includes parking facilities with a two-level underground car park and 31 off-road parking spaces. The underground car park will accommodate 57 cars, five of which are reserved for disabled parking.
The project is DGNB Gold certified with a heart, which is awarded to projects with a special focus on creating a healthy and good indoor climate for employees and visitors in the health and employment centre.
The project follows DGNB manual 2020 Office buildings. Buddinge Byport is registered for a DGNB certification and is aiming for a final DGNB Gold and Heart certification.
