About Nordstern

The history of Nordstern

Nordstern is Denmark's leading property developer and turnkey contractor, owned by ActivumSG and created by the merger of CASA and KPC – two independently strong players in Danish construction. With a history stretching back to 1979, Nordstern is today the largest Danish property developer and turnkey contractor within the development, construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings. Nordstern's more than 400 employees work every day dedicatedly to develop the company they are co-owners of. With the goal of certifying all new residential and office buildings, Nordstern sets new standards for more sustainable commercial and residential buildings in Denmark.

In Nordstern we are a “HOLD” (in English: TEAM)

With our values as a foundation, we strive to be a company that has consideration and propriety at its core, that listens to all stakeholders, and that is dedicated and takes ownership of our projects.

At Nordstern, it's about more than just construction. We consider our surroundings, the environment and the people around us. We create more sustainable solutions that respect and preserve our planet for future generations.

Propriety is our guiding star. We take pride in delivering quality and credibility in everything we do. We keep our promises – and we always keep a proper tone and order both on the construction site and in the pencil case.

We listen to our customers, our business partners and each other. We recognize the importance of understanding different needs, wishes and concerns so that we together can find the best solutions and create long-lasting relationships.

We are dedicated and take ownership. Our professionalism and pride drive us to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding results. We are committed, focused and always strive to exceed expectations.

Welcome to Nordstern’s HOLD.

Nordstern Collaborates Across the Industry

Nordstern works with a dialogue-based and inclusive approach, proactively addressing disagreements to prevent conflicts. For several years, we have strategically focused on collaboration within internal teams on the construction sites and with our clients and partners.

To strengthen our collaborative efforts, Nordstern chose in 2023 to join the interdisciplinary collaboration guided by The Danish Association for Responsible Construction ARC) [Byggeriets Samfundsansvar] and The Danish Association of Construction Clients (DACC) [Bygherre Foreningen].

Nordstern has participated in a number of workshops and committed to working with concrete initiatives, in addition to the initiatives we already pursuing, such as start-up workshops, data collection, knowledge sharing, follow-up, and evaluation of collaborations.

The new collaboration has given us an even greater focus on:

  • Psychological safety throughout the project organization
  • Mental presence at collaborative workshops
  • Onboarding during projects
