When we construct care homes, the setting must work for both residents and staff. We therefore use documented solutions and focus on functionality, operation and maintenance, as well as supporting a safe and secure daily life.

By involving specialists in areas such as building services and operations at an early stage, and considering specific requirements for materials, energy consumption and certification, the solutions can be aligned with day-to-day workflows and the possibility of future adaptations.

One example is Sølund Care Centre in Copenhagen, where we are helping to construct a modern development with care homes designed with a focus on safety, community and functionality.

At Buchwalds Bro in Horsens, we were responsible for developing and constructing a privately operated care home as part of a new urban district. The care homes form part of an area comprising social and private housing, commercial premises and communal areas. The project is certified under the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

From the outset, our projects bring together residents’ daily lives, staff workflows and the building’s subsequent operation.
