Private nursing home with 80 accessible homes and a daycare centre for 89 children
Two buildings will be constructed. The northern building will have four stories and the southern building three. An enclosed walkway will be created between the two buildings, making it easy for residents and staff to walk between them.
In addition, two lifts will be installed for bed transport and general use.
The housing have one bedroom and a private bathroom. Each home follows specific accessibility requirements that make it easy for residents and staff to move around.
On each floor there will be a preparation kitchen and a large covered balcony connected to the room. The balconies are spacious so they can be used by wheelchair users.
Enclosed green outdoor spaces are created with herb gardens and shared terraces for the use of residents.
On the ground floor there is a daycare centre and a playground in extension of the building, which will bring life into the daily lives of the residents.
The car park has 45 spaces for visitors, staff and for picking up/dropping off children at the daycare centre.
The project follows DGNB manual 2020 Renovation and new construction]. Altura has undergone a pre-certification and the project is moving towards a final DGNB Gold certification. The pre-certificate is issued in 2024.
