New residential area with two-bedroom apartments, two-storey townhouses and three-storey, multi-generation houses
Fortehusene is a new residential area in Lisbjerg, Aarhus, comprising 80 apartments. The project is all about strong communities, reflected in the shared green spaces with playground and recreational areas. A pathway system connects the area to Lisbjerg School, so children in the neighbourhood can get to school safely.
The development consists of two-bedroom apartments for students and seniors on the ground floor with a private garden. The detached, three-bedroom townhouses on two levels are designed for families with children and those who want more space. There's also the option of multi-generational living under the same roof in the three-storey multi-generation house.
The homes are 50 sq m, 75 sq m or 100 sq m with a private balcony or patio. In front of the homes, there will be a shared car park with bicycle sheds. In the centre, there will be a SUDS system in the form of an seepage reservoir.
Fortehusene is Nordstern's pilot project for reducing electricity consumption and waste on the site. During the execution phase, electricity meters and containers from City Container was used. Nordstern will thereby gain insight into the electricity consumption and amount of waste of the construction site. We will use these figures to identify the major power consumers and waste sources that can be recycled.
