New Psychiatric Centre
1,200 residential units and a new psychiatric centre
The development of a new neighbourhood around the former psychiatric hospital in Risskov.
PPP (Public-Private Partnership) in cooperation with the pension fund PKA. The construction project is part of the New University Hospital in Aarhus.
The hospital comprises a department of adult and child psychiatry with outpatient clinics and wards totalling 40,000 sq m. In addition, a separate department of forensic psychiatry of 10,000 sq m will be built.
Bindesbøll Byen will be built in the same area – 115,000 sq m divided into 1,200 new residential units. The project will be built with respect for the cultural history of the area.
A local development plan will be prepared in collaboration with Aarhus Municipality.
