The health and safety of Nordstern's employees and our contractors on our construction sites are paramount. We, therefore, integrate plans and various initiatives both locally on the construction site and in the offices as well as in the company in general
Nordstern is Work Environment Certified
In 2023, Nordstern achieved occupational health and safety certification in accordance with DS/ISO 45001 and Executive Order No. 109.
Nordstern was certified by the independent certification body Bureau Veritas, which also conducts external audits at our offices and construction sites. The certification provides a foundation for further improvements to our safety and working environment.

Safety for employees and contractors
At Nordstern, everyone is responsible for occupational health and safety. Our health and safety policies are integrated into every activity at every level of the company, and our employees are equipped to act if working conditions do not comply with these policies.
Everyone must be able to work safely. We therefore continually analyse our working environment to identify opportunities for internal learning. We identify, document and analyse all accidents, near misses and enforcement notices. Lessons learned are shared internally to improve safety at other sites and help prevent accidents.
Nordstern aims to maintain the lowest possible accident rate and has set a target of 0.6 accidents per DKK 100 million in revenue.
In 2025, we recorded 1.2 accidents per DKK 100 million in revenue. This was unchanged from 2024 and remained above our target.
Most incidents involved minor trips. We are therefore running campaigns aimed at preventing similar accidents in future. This is supported by continuous dialogue between the occupational health and safety coordinators at our construction sites and Nordstern’s occupational health and safety manager.
