Skanderborg Fælled is a gathering point for residents in Skanderborg Municipality. The project consists of a collection of several buildings divided into four zones; arrival, meeting centre, sports facilities and administration centre. All functions are connected by the arrival area, which runs across the buildings.

The sports facilities consist of a double hall divided into two handball courts with room for 1,700 seated spectators. The double hall is open to the landscape, which makes it possible to organise events that take place both indoors and outdoors.

The building design includes several measures that increase sustainability through optimal utilisation of daylight, natural ventilation and an efficient building envelope. In addition, green plants are used on selected facades as sun protection, while indoor plant walls contribute to a good indoor climate in the building.
