Safety at the construction site

The health and safety of Nordstern's employees and our contractors on our construction sites are paramount. We, therefore, integrate plans and various initiatives both locally on the construction site and in the offices as well as in the company in general

Nordstern is Work Environment Certified

In 2023, Nordsten obtained the official Work Environment Certification, an ISO standard. We were certified by the third-party agency, Bureau Veritas, who also conducts the external audits carried out in offices and on construction sites. The Work Environment Certification is a steppingstone towards further improving our safety and work environment.

Our work environment policy can be obtained by contacting info@nordstern.dk.

The certificate can be viewed via this link.

Safety for employees and contractors

At Nordstern, everyone is responsible for health and safety. Our health and safety policies are an integral part of any activity at any level of the company. Our employees are prepared to act if working conditions do not comply with the health and safety policy.

It must be safe to go to work, which is why we continuously analyze the working environment for our own learning. We identify, document, and analyze all accidents, near-accidents, and enforcement orders. The experience gained is shared in-house to increase safety on other sites and thereby avoid accidents.

Thus, Nordstern has set ambitious standards and targets to keep accidents at the lowest level possible. Our target for the number of accidents per 100 MDKK revenue is 0.6. In 2023, we registered 1.3 accidents per 100 MDKK revenue. Most of these are related to smaller accidents such as tripping, which we are of cource running campaigns on to avoid in the future. This is also complemented by Nordsterns Health and Safety Manger, who has an ongoing dialogue with the safety coordinators at the construction sites.
