Construction of a new logistics and distribution Center

Nordstern has constructed a 29,000 sq m large logistics and distribution center with 36,000 sq m outdoor storage space in Årslev, close to the highway.
The new center consists of four buildings with a total ground area of 29,000 sq m.

The building includes administrative facilities of 670 sq m across two floors, which encompass a total of 40 office spaces, a canteen, and changing facilities. Additionally, a 325 sq m store has been built where craftsmen can directly collect materials.

The logistics and distribution center features a heated hall of 2,000 sq m and an unheated hall of 13,700 sq m, which is dry sprinklered. In connection with the sprinkler system, an underground water reservoir of 500 cubic metre and a pump station of 75 sq m have been established.

Additionally, there are 12,560 sq m of canopies made of supporting glulam, roof purlins, and steel sheet roofing.

The center houses more than 10,000 fixed building materials in stock, and around 100 employees have their daily workplace in the center. Currently, there are 30 trucks associated with the center, which handle more than 25,000 truckloads per year. The center is built to handle more than 100 trucks with building materials daily.

The total built-up area is 30,000 sq m, and the center is designed to allow for further expansion.
