222 homes in a modern canal district

Sluseholmen has evolved from an industrial area to a modern canal district featuring different types of housing and services.

Nordstern was responsible for seven projects in Sluseholmen: Lærkeholm, Molehuset, Granholm, Hasselholm, Kastanjeholm N, Kastanjeholm S and Magnolieholm. Nordstern has been working on one more project: Elmeholm.

Elmeholm consists of one block of six to seven floors totalling 22,500 sq m. The development comprises 222 owner-occupied homes of between 65 and 170 sq m in size. The majority of the homes are three-bedroom apartments of around 80 sq m. All homes have either a private balcony or garden area on the ground floor.

Under the development, 5,600-sq m of basement space has been established, providing areas for waste management, technical and storage rooms, bicycle parking, and 100 parking spaces.

Outside, a playground and an orangery have been established for the residents of the area.

The total project at Sluseholmen comprises 1,268 homes and 12 commercial premises. The homes vary in size, making Sluseholmen interesting to different types of family setups.

The project follows DGNB manual 2020 Renovation and new construction. Sluseholmen has undergone a pre-certification and the project is moving towards a final DGNB Gold certification. The pre-certificate is issued in 2022.
