Construction of 88 housing in a senior community

Nordstern has built Rømers Park, a purpose-built senior community consisting of 88 apartments and a 125 sq m community centre.

The senior community consists of eight two- to four-storey tower blocks and a community centre for use by the area's residents and their guests. 44 two-bedroom and 44 three-bedroom apartments are built, all of which are senior-friendly with level access. In addition, all tower blocks are equipped with a lift, regardless of the number of floors. The apartments range in size from 70 sq m to 95 sq m and have either a terrace or balcony of 9 sq m to 12 sq m.

The tower blocks are constructed in concrete with a brick shell wall. The project reused concrete and crushed bricks from previous buildings on the site. In addition, the design focused on choosing maintenance-free materials both inside and out to future-proof the buildings.

The communal building is made from wood and contains one bathroom, two bedrooms and a kitchenette.

There are 132 underground car parking spaces as well as covered and uncovered bike racks.
