Construction of 139 DGNB Gold-certified homes

Nordstern has built 139 new homes in Nærheden near Hedehusene. The homes consist of dense, low-rise buildings with one- to two-storey terraced houses and four-storey tower blocks of apartments, and a communal building.

There are three different types of senior housing: 58, 66 and 76 sq m. There are two different sizes of family homes: 94 and 109 sq m. The multi-storey blocks of apartments are divided into four tower buildings, containing apartments of various sizes.

The homes are part of Plushusene - a co-living concept with both family and senior housing. Its mix of families and seniors makes the concept unique. The concept encourages a new lifestyle where residents can help each other and make use of the opportunities a good neighbourhood has to offer. The area has various communal area, including a catering kitchen, a dining room, fitness facilities, a hobby room/workshop, a sauna and guest rooms.

There are also green outdoor areas to make the neighbourhood cohesive.

Nærheden is DGNB Gold certified according to DGNB manual 2016 Renovation and new construction. The certification is issued in 2022.
