Seven-story apartment block with public housing
Nordstern is constructing Lygten in Bispebjerg, comprising six buildings and an underground parking garage. Five of the buildings are being constructed for Vision Ejendomme A/S, while building C consists of public housing, being constructed for Danske Funktionærers Boligselskab (DFB) by Domea.
Building C is seven stories high and consists of 70 public housing, including 45 youth apartments and 25 senior apartments. The apartments range in size from 41 sq m to 82 sq m, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. Ground-floor apartments have terraces, while apartments from the first floor up have private balconies.
There are eight communal rooms: two for the senior apartments and six for the youth apartments, equipped with kitchens and dining furniture.
The building is constructed from concrete elements with a combination of brick veneer and light façades. The brick veneer has sections that are recessed and mortared in dark joints, while the rest of the masonry features a lighter mortar. The top two floors use a light facade construction finished with metallic-colored facade panels.
The entrance areas of the building are clad in red facade tiles, similar to buildings A, B, and D.
Inside, the apartments are equipped with white-painted walls and ceilings, white kitchens, light wooden floors, and bathrooms with light tiles.
The project follows DGNB manual 2020 New buildings and extensive renovations. Lygten C is registered for a DGNB certification and is aiming for a final DGNB Silver certification.
