Renovation and remodeling of Holstebro Swimming Center

Nordstern has completed a renovation and remodeling of Holstebro Swimming Center for K/S Holstebro Badeland, which was subsequently sold to Holstebro Municipality.

The renovation included the replacement of all floor tiles and the expansion of the existing 50-meter swimming pool by 2.3 meters in width. All existing surfaces were treated as part of the project.

A new grandstand was constructed in raw cast-in-place concrete. To improve the view from the grandstands, the supporting columns in front were removed, requiring the establishment of a new load-bearing steel structure under the roof.

In the existing multi-room, the pool structures and water slide were demolished. In continuation, new pools were cast, including a hot water pool, children's pool, a 25-meter training pool, and a lounge pool. The pools are finished with pool liner.

The foyer and changing rooms of the swimming center have undergone a remodeling with a new foyer, changing facilities, stairs, and elevator. Existing walls were retained as much as possible during the remodeling, but surfaces and structures were demolished where necessary.

On the first floor, the swimming center has gained a new fitness area, club room, administrative offices, and toilet facilities.
