282 apartments will be renovated and modernised but retain the same architectural expression

Bellahøjhusene

Future-proofing of five apartment blocks and commercial leases

Renovation and redevelopment of seven apartment blocks, of which five blocks have eight storeys and two have nine storeys.

The facades will be completely renovated, and all concrete facades will be replaced with extra insulation to minimise heat loss and cold air intrusion. The structure and expression will retain the original details, which are protected by the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces.

To make sure the original facade can be restored, the buildings are 3D scanned 1:1.

Bathrooms, kitchens and roofing felt will be replaced. In addition, all plumbing and electrical installations will be replaced and a new ventilation system will be established.

The underground car park with space for 60 cars will be renovated by replacing the installations and concrete works.

In connection with the project, several social initiatives will be launched, focusing on social responsibility. Through the project, internships, pocket money jobs and rota systems will be established. In addition, collaboration has been entered into with the Danish Association of Construction Clients, TrygFonden and the City of Copenhagen to increase the focus on trades education in Denmark.
