Multi-storey car park with 722 parking spaces
Nordstern has built a multi-storey car park with heliport at Aarhus University Hospital in Skejby as a PPP (public private partnership), in which Nordstern financed and built the car park and all the hospital's on-site car parks. The operation is handled by APCOA.
The car park has 722 parking spaces for use by the hospital's employees, patients and relatives.
Safety and security for car park users was a key focus during the design process. In the multi-storey car park, there is a one-way flow that allows for pedestrian zones. In addition, there are extra-wide ramps to provide more space for cars to manoeuvre, increasing safety for drivers.
The car park has been built alongside the existing hospital building and is located close to the hospital's emergency services to ensure quick access.
