Construction of 294 apartments as part of Bindesbøll Byen

Nordstern is constructing Selmerhusene for Lærernes Pension as part of Bindesbøll Byen on the site of Risskov’s former psychiatric hospital. Selmerhusene consists of four blocks with 294 apartments spread across 29 staircases. There will also be a communal building and a parking basement. Selmerhusene is the last of five constructions that Nordstern builds for Lærernes Pension in Bindesbøll Byen.

Selmerhusene comprise 23,589 square meters of residential construction, built on four construction sites and delivered in three stages. In connection with building plots no. one and two, a parking basement of 3,260 square meters with 123 parking spaces is being established. The nine buildings are constructed as block developments with communal courtyards in the centre.

The project also includes a communal building with a kitchenette, a communal room and courtyard with a covered patio.

The buildings will be constructed using concrete elements with a multi-coloured brick shell. Each home will have either a balcony or a patio.

The project follows DGNB manual 2016 Apartment buildings and terraced houses. Selmerhusene has undergone a pre-certification and the project is moving towards a final DGNB Gold certification. The pre-certificate is issued on 09.11.2023.
