Construction of 48 public housing

Skoleparken blok 0A

3,176 sq m of residential floor area and 929 sq m of basement.

The redevelopment of Skoleparken block A0 is being carried out in collaboration with Boligselskabet Nordsjælland, H+ A/S, and Danakon. The project was tendered as a so-called integrated construction project, meaning that design and execution are planned and organised as a single process – with early and close involvement of the executing parties and with the aim of creating the best possible building for future residents (Molt Wengel model).

Block A0 was vacant, and the original plan was to demolish the existing building down to the plinth while preserving the basement. However, during the process it was decided to demolish everything and establish an entirely new structure with an additional floor compared to the original.

The new block A0 will be constructed with a total floor area of 4,477 m². The building will contain 48 residential units, consisting of 16 two-room apartments and 32 three-room apartments.

The vision is to create robust homes that are easy to operate and maintain, with a strong focus on climate and sustainability. The project is being carried out in accordance with DGNB principles and is expected to achieve DGNB Silver certification.

The reconstruction of block A0 is the final phase of a larger overall renovation of Skoleparken, where the remaining blocks were completed in 2019.

Hand-over

The contract is truly a major step forward. It has taken time to get here, but it has also been important for us to start off on the right footing with block A0, which has presented some very specific challenges, for example in relation to the construction. Therefore, we carried out very thorough preparatory work before selecting the procurement method, contractor, and consultant. As the client, it has been important for us to have as much influence in the process as possible. We must safeguard the tenants’ rent funds, and the right starting point can ultimately make a significant difference to both the schedule and the finances.
