This 17,235-sq m development is part of the Kirkebjerg district in Brøndby
Nordstern has developed and constructed a 17,235-sq m complex as part of Brøndby’s new Kirkebjerg district near Copenhagen. The extensive floor space is made up of 215 homes and a car park with space for around 130 cars.
The homes are built to DGNB Gold standards, increasing the green footprint, minimising lifecycle costs and improving indoor climate, while focusing on high quality and user satisfaction.
The apartments vary in sizes, with one to three bedrooms ranging in size from 51 sq m to 107.8 sq m. There are also ten, two-storey terraced houses with internal staircases, ranging from 115 sq m to 125 sq m in size, The homes have access to green communal areas in the courtyards and on roof terraces. All homes have their own balcony, patio or roof terrace.
Nordstern also developed and constructed Kobber Engen, which is located near Mekanikken. The two neighbourhoods have a cohesive quality with similar architecture.
Mekanikken is DGNB Gold certified according to DGNB manual 2016 Apartment buildings and terraced houses. The certification is issued on 28-09-2023.
