New hotel apartments at Postbyen on Bernstorffsgade in Copenhagen

At Postbyen in central Copenhagen, hotel apartments, homes and a publicly accessible mixed-use building have been developed. The hotel apartments are part of the masterplan for the new urban area. Postbyen is bounded by Bernstorffsgade to the east and Jernbaneterrænet to the west.

The 234 hotel apartments have been built in two of the five towers, respectively 50- and 90-metre high. The apartments have one to two rooms, and their own kitchen and bathroom facilities. At the bottom of the buildings is a commercial and retail area, which includes a restaurant, bar, café and lounge area.

The architectural expression is paramount: a modern style with flexible spaces.

From the outset of the project, the focus has been on the life cycle of the buildings, including indoor climate and energy consumption.

The project has been submitted for DGNB certification in accordance with the DGNB Manual 2016.

The multi-user building, The Stamp, was handed over in May 2025, and two of the towers with 234 hotel apartments were completed in August 2025.

The project is expected to be completed in February 2026.
