New urban area in Viby South

Nordstern is building a new urban and residential area for Koncenton in Viby South. The area has been developed by Nordstern and Pro Developments and includes housing together with a new Netto grocery store and an OK petrol station with car wash.
With its short distance to Aarhus city center, Viby has long been a sought-after area by both locals and newcomers. However, the existing housing stock cannot meet the need, which is why the area is being renovated and developed in these years. Viby has thus changed considerably, so that it today represents the mixed city with both family housing, youth housing and businesses within a short distance.
It is the largest Danish real estate investor in Denmark for the past four years, Koncenton, who has bought the project in Viby. Koncenton welcomes the strong collaboration with Nordstern and Pro Developments and looks forward to contributing to the renewal of a sought-after part of the city.

A total of 10,000 m2 of housing of varying sizes will be built, divided between a 6-storey point house and townhouses, and a grocery store of 1,200 m2, which will house a new Netto. In addition, there is the new OK petrol station with associated car wash. The new urban area will be built in an area with many public housings, which is why the project has been developed in close collaboration with the two housing associations Aarhus Omegn and Alboa, which has also been the seller of the areas where the project is being built.
"The project completes a long-standing urban development in the area. An urban transformation that is now completed with 140 new modern homes, a Netto store with a viewing tower and OK washing and refueling facilities. All close to education, jobs, infrastructure, the Megasyd shopping area, nature and Aarhus city center. Aarhus municipality also still has the opportunity to utilize a remaining building site in the area," says Brian Svart, MSc in Economics and Vice President and owner of Pro Developments.
As mentioned, the homes are a mix of apartments and townhouses to create life and openness in the construction. In the courtyard, a green, recreational area with open access for everyone will be established. The entire project will be DGNB Gold certified.

The project in Viby is, therefore, a green urban development project, where we build quality housing for families, singles and couples close to the Capital of Jutland," says Torben Modvig, Group CEO of Nordstern.
The project started up in early 2023, and the last part is expected to be delivered in the summer of 2024.
