Nordstern appoints new director in new construction

Jesper Nordby joined Nordstern's management team on 1 October 2023 as director of New Construction East. He shares the role with Michael Dahlager, who took up his position earlier this year. The two directors together manage an order book of more than DKK 4 billion.

Jesper comes most recently from a position as CEO in Brdr. K. Hansen, but with a career of almost 30 years in the construction industry, he has most years behind him with other of the industry's biggest players, including Aarsleff and MT Højgaard:

"I am at my best in large, ambitious companies like Nordstern, and I look forward to the inspiration and sparring I can get from my colleagues and employees on a daily basis. And I'm looking forward to being at the head of a construction division again after having been in a construction company for a few years," says Jesper Nordby and continues: "I am attracted by the fact that the work and management style in Nordstern is so unbureaucratic. Everyone contributes to the common bottom line, and it is believed that a solution can always be found. It fits perfectly with my own approach to work."

In his role as Group CEO at MT Højgaard, Jesper Nordby most recently tried his hand at construction. Business development and growth has been the main task in his most recent positions and will also be at Nordstern, where the New Construction East division is expected to grow in the coming years.

"Jesper has shown that he is a robust leader who is solution-oriented towards the tasks that he faces. He knows how to lead managers and create the framework and space that our skilled project managers need to be able to perform their task. Jesper also comes with a slightly different background than the other construction directors at Nordstern, which makes him a good addition to the existing management team," says Torben Modvig, Group CEO, Nordstern.

In connection with Jesper Nordby's accession, Claus Møller – former director of New Construction East – will change position so that he in the future will be director of New Construction West, based at Nordstern's office in Aarhus. He shares the role as director of New Construction West with Peter Rosengreen, who is based in Nordstern's office in Horsens.
